Tesseract - World in a Box

Inspiration: Inspired by the puzzle gameplay of Caged Peeping Dreams and the narrative flow of Eddie Finch's Memories. 

Goal: Explore new game modes that combine both with traditional Rubik's Cube gameplay.

Introduction: Players will take on the role of the creator in the main world to fiddle with the Rubik's Cube. When the faces of the cube are successfully pieced together, the maker can enter the inner world of the pieced cube, the perspective of the story's protagonist, for an interactive narrative. There are six faces of the Cube, each with a separate story passage in the inner world, and the story of the six faces adds up to a short story of escape and return home.

Mode of operation:

The main world is operated by dragging the mouse to control the view and the rotation of the cube.

For the inside world, the wsad keys control the character movement and the mouse controls the character view.

Note: The game has been tested and may still have some bugs.

Watch out for volume and mouse sensitivity!
